How We Help You Through the Claims Process

A simple, clear 4-step approach to getting you the support you need

Step 1: Contact Us First (If Possible)

Whenever you can, call our office BEFORE you file the claim.

Why?

  • We can help you understand what is and isn’t covered.

  • We can walk you through the process.

  • We can make sure the claim is filed correctly.

  • We can help you avoid common mistakes.

Step 2: We Help You File the Claim

Once we confirm a claim should be filed, we will:

  • Help collect basic information

  • Report the claim to the insurance company

  • Provide the correct claims contact info

  • Give you your claim number

  • Explain what happens next

We can assist in filing the claim — but we do not control the claim.

Step 3: Your Adjuster Takes Over

After the claim is filed, an insurance company claims adjuster will contact you. They may:

  • Request photos, estimates, or documentation

  • Schedule inspections or interviews

  • Communicate with other involved parties

  • Provide updates on the process

Your adjuster makes the official decisions regarding coverage and payout.

Step 4: We Stay Available for Support

Even though we cannot adjust or settle the claim, we will still:

  • Answer questions

  • Explain terms or processes

  • Help you communicate with the insurance company

  • Guide you on what to expect

  • Provide documentation or policy info

  • Support you as your local agent

You will never feel abandoned. We are with you — even if we can’t “run” the claim.

  • We cannot decide how much you are paid.

  • We cannot override or force the insurance company to change a decision.

  • We cannot negotiate settlements on your behalf.

If you disagree with the claim outcome or feel you were treated unfairly, you may need to consult an attorney or public adjuster.

We will always be honest with you about your options.

When You MAY Need an Attorney or Public Adjuster

If any of these happen:

  • Your claim is denied and you disagree

  • You feel the payout is too low

  • Liability is being disputed

  • There are injuries or legal issues

  • The process has stalled or gone silent

  • You believe the insurer is acting unfairly

At that point, you may need legal representation.

We can’t provide legal advice — but we will always be honest and say, “It might be time to speak with an attorney.”
